![]() ![]() you are at the mercy of your cims actually routing cargo through those channels and B. So long as you have not maxed out your outside connections capacity I cannot think of a reason (other than aesthetics) to build cargo airports, which is a real shame.Ī (poor) workaround I have found is to simply build a few rail yards around the perimeter of your air cargo hub. ![]() This makes air cargo (regular of hub) really, really bad from a space utilization perspective, as you can fit multiple rail yards or port hubs in the same amount of map space (including rail switching). That means they all have the exact same throughput at max capacity, and that can really impact efficiencies at that scale. The one thing you need to keep in mind is that all cargo buildings, no matter what their size, have the same number of nodes per service one. The building will obviously be far less efficient, and since there is no way to specify dedicated routs there is not a good way to fix that, but it will work whenever cims think it is a good idea to route goods that way. In fact they can function without a working road connection if you have proper rail connections set up to other parts of your city. Have suggestions for the sidebar / topbar? Mail the mods!
